NEVER with a metal spoon...

Calcium Bentonite Clay causes metal to stick to it through opposite electrical charges. One of the purposes for using the clay is to remove toxins (many of which are metal) from your body. If you use a metal spoon to measure or stir your clay into water, you will be introducing metal into your body with the clay.

Whether you bathe in it, use it as a skin cleanser, swish with it or drink it - never use metal to serve, prepare or store it. I have read conflicting claims as to whether or not Bentonite clay also attracts the toxic BPAs found in most plastics. As a precaution, we store our clay in glass jars and to measure and mix it, we use small wooden spoons.

Bentonite clay carries a strong negative charge which bonds to the positive charge in many toxins. When it comes in contact with a toxin, chemical, or heavy metal, the clay will absorb the toxin and release it’s minerals for the body to use. Bentonite also helps get oxygen to cells as it pulls excess hydrogen and allows the cells to replace it with oxygen instead. http://wellnessmama.com/5915/the-benefits-of-healing-clays/

This study is just the beginning; an awakening for the sleeping world and the medical powers-that-be that clay is a serious contender in the field of safe healing. The missing element in advancing the interest in clays has been group research studies, which is proof for the FDA. The pioneer who is responsible for this study is Thierry Brunet De Courssou, who pursued the work his mother started and broke through to Dr. Williams. http://www.naturalnews.com/022475_clay_healing_bacteria.html
